    I can't believe how dramatic this video is. I was hanging on every word even though I understood about 15% of what was going on, I just knew it was great because of the reactions. The mission commander pacing, the guy going "yes, yes!" at 8:22, the applause break for the parachute deploying... the successes are really well paced.

    There is a satitlite orbiting mars. Curiosity telephones the orbitor, which then beams information back to earth.
