Switch to hot water and activate pump after steaming or you'll ruin the boiler. This Lelit doesn't refill boiler automatically after steaming!!! Refer to manual.
@SillyHello it's called splitting the milk, and the reason it's done is generally to regulate froth and the amount you have on top of your milk before you pour. If you split immediately in to another jug you can generally pour 2 lattes, one from each jug, with equal froth.

Why do you pour the milk into a second pitcher before pouring? I've seen it done before, but not sure why.
