Featured from "The Uninvited", a 1944 American supernatural mystery/romance film starring Ray Milland and Ruth Husser. Victor Young began his career as a classical composer and concert violinist but moved into the popular music sphere when he joined Isham Jones' orchestra. In the mid-1930s, he moved to Hollywood where he concentrated on films, recordings of light music and providing backing for popular singers including Bing Crosby.

  • @dontap7 I couldn't agree more. I also saw "The Uninvited" and had the same reaction to this beautiful and haunting song. It has become my favorite....

  • I saw "The Uninvited* .when this song appeared in the movie, I felt chills. I doubt that this song will ever be a favorite by some ,but somehow I wish I had written this song for my own wife. That's how much "Stella" uplifted my very soul,It haunted me for days.
