Colors Of The Wind (Pocahontas Loop)

Acoustic guitar improvising over "Colors Of The Wind" from the movie Pocahontas.

for those of you of you looking for tabs, i am tuned down a whole step... this means if you try to play along it wont be in the same key... but here are the changes in standard tuning...

usually i am thumbing the bottom notes (using my left thumb overtop of the fretboard)... for the most part the picking pattern is improvised, but generally speaking it's kind of a raking pattern of thumb-index-middle-ring... however you could strum the chords and you would get the same basic idea... the lead part is also improvised, except for the melody, which i encourage you to try to figure out by ear or simply watch my fingers... hopefully this helps...

Nicely done ochenspiel.

For my ears the original was lacking something, even with all the orchs and musicians working on it.

I prefer this version, it's got real acoustic texture and feeling.

Also, I had no idea that kind of lilting twang that a pipe has could be done just as well with a guitar, sweeeeeeeeeet!
