The remix gives a really cool contrast to the old footage.

Great footage. Stupid music.

Fisherman's Wharf looks exactly the same now as it did over 68 years ago. Can't get crabs for 25 cents though.

I lived in a residential hotel on Market Street while my Dad was in the seabees on Treasure Island in 1945. I remember seeing President Truman and all the officials in the League of Nations Convention. I remember the day the Japanese surrendered ending the war. Every auto horn in the city was honking and there were thousands in the streets celebrating. I now live in the "suburb -- not" of Outer Mission. This is and always has been the "Paris" of North America.

@TiipX That's because much of the middle class moved to the suburbs in the 1950s.

It's weird how these once so beautiful american metropolis' has gone to be the main dumpsters of the world. That brand new black tar, the shining working class cars, the modern family villas... sad really. :/

Wow, that is older than even when I first visited San Francisco !
0:20 the only thing that remains the same (!?) is the antique trolley cars (not to be confused with the cable cars),(not the cable cars) that run up and down Market Street, that were introduced in the ninties.

I'm 56, I'm not really into music less than 30 years old, I compromised finding a modern cover of an old song I like.
