it wasn't Mozart who was pessisimistic, because Mozart didn't write the text. It was Da Ponte who wrote the libretto, he created the story and the title.
cosi fan tutti which means: Everybody does it like this.
It's a pessimist Mozart saying that everybody would do the same thing as the characters in this Opera (The women Cheat on their husbands and the Men don't trust on them).
