I'm catholic, i hate when people go way overboard and try to FORCE EVERYONE to turn them to their religion, if someone converts to any religion it should be of their own free will that i believe was given to us by god himself, he wouldn't want people forced to convert.

So please on behalf of all of us please, if you want to try and convince people about it on the internet try not sounding like an idiot, most haven't even read the bible and half probably don't go to church.

I think your friend's view about faith and God's will is distorted. Suppose she is right about God's Will. Prayer alone will not fix any problem, no matter how trivial or "big". God commanded Solomon and his army to pray for victory in battle over there enemies in the creation of their kingdom. But they still had to get up and go fight the battles. Apply this to climate destabilization and the conclusion is inescapable. Pray. But do as well. And we can achieve anything.

I'd make the argument that there are BILLIONS of cars on this planet and that our cumulative usage of them is beginning to have a cumulative effect on the environment, and then ask them how that's hard to comprehend. Like you said, there is no way to draw a magical line that halts our reach. As we've found, due to technology, our reach essentially knows no bounds.

@darkhairedguy how do you know it's blasphemy? how do you know god HAS a will? how do you know there IS a god? how do you know it's beyond our understanding? you're just guessing. you're just hoping. there's no reason to believe in any of that, and therefore we dont consider it. it's POSSIBLE that it exists, but again there is NO reason to believe it because there is NO evidence.

I think Gods will is beyond human understanding. And you should too, if You respected people's beliefs.o say that Gods will does not come into account in this matter to a person of belief is a blasphemy.

Bringing people's beliefs into it is another foolish move.

Tell me which CO2 molecule in the atmosphere comes from humans and which comes from the gils of a fish. And then tell me which one of these is beneficial for plant growth on land, phytoplankton production in the seas.

Now, tell the fish to stop breathing. Or the bacteria to stop emitting CO2. Or the volcanos to hold it for a while and wait. After all, they're causing 97% of the CO2 emissions, as opposed to a mere 3% for us humans.
