An arm literally cut off by live steam would not bleed. The heat of the steam would instantly cauterize blood vessels, making death by exsanguination impossible as hypovolemia could not occur. Either the report is false or the death was related to the compund effects of burn injuries and shock.

Yes. That was CV-8 sunk in 1942. This was it's replacement.

No one had walked by them. The group had been standing in the room for about 10 minutes or so, then the pipes fell. Nobody was anywhere near the pipes at the time.
