I would recommend hiring a guide in your area to understand the fishing style/techniques in your particular habitat. Keep trying diffrent things. Live bait is a safe bet i.e. shrimp, threadfins, pilchards, and pinfish. Artificials work as well i.e. DOAs, mirrorlure, rapala, and my favorite soft plastic jerk baits.

  • how heavy was your sinker?...

  • @EA5T5IDE13KILLA

  • I'm using a live pinfish. Buy them at bait stores or use a castnet@oDEIYIONo

We all do respect redfishing in Louisiana may be better but the fishing will suffer tremendously because of the oil spill. Our fish her require much more skill than in Louisiana. As for the tarpon fishing, Lousiana does not even come close. Three words: BOCA GRANDE PASS! Get your facts straight first.

  • Floridas fun cause while your fishing you can watch the manatees and gators swim by awesome

  • Shad and shrimp work well here in SW Louisiana

  • @xXxjoemanxXx Really? Interesting XD Do you fish in freshwater, deep sea, or what? And do the Red Fish swim in Salt Water Canals or in rivers or...? I'm not too sure exactly >.>

  • @ElfenLiedPhsycoFan i live in florida, the fishin aint all that here but in some spots it is. i want to go to SC i hear the fishing is good there.

  • @xXxjoemanxXx ahh sweet thnx =] i have 65 lb test line on my current pole XD i live in NC atm but i plan on going to FL soon =]

  • @ElfenLiedPhsycoFan the test line u use depends on the size fish that u wanna catch or watever is in that area. i use 20lb and that will catch a good size fish. but anyway about the setup just tie a hook on the end (u should use circle hooks they will hook the fish a lot better) but there are a lot of different setups just look at some vids on here to help u with things thats how i learned. u can hook a bait fish through the tail, through the middle of the back and through the head in the skull.
