When it comes time to hunting down Kona bikes on the trails and streets, leave it up to Dr Dew to track down some dedicated Kona lovers. From classic Cinder Cone's to Dawg Primo's and Jake the Snake's, Dr Dew (AKA Doug LaFavor - Kona Tech Dude) searches far and wide in his blaze orange get-up to find out how much Kona owners love their bikes and how they ride them. This is the fourth episode of the Dr Dew Files. All others can be seen on YouTube and www.konaworld.tv.

Still have my 1996 dual suspension Kona Sex One (1st 4 bar design). Riding it hard and its still goin strong 14 years later....man I feel old... Upgraded everything except the frame and it's no different than riding a 2010 bike.. except for the 24 speeds and gripshift. RIP the Halson PDS for I bought for it years ago.

1991 Kona Kilauea (Bike of the year)
Tens of thousands of kilometers over 19 years. 3 chains, 2 cog stacks, 1 fork rebuild and running perfectly. Never trued the wheels in 19 years and still dead straight.

@NeoQuello i have a 2009 shred, it's a hardtail (built for dirt jumps), but it's very strong i ride it everywhere, only thing i suggest is hydraulic brakes.

Funny vid. My Kona Coiler Dee-Lux has served me well. Also had a 99 Stab Dee-Lux with a Monster-T back in the day.
