I would say Naruto for 3 reasons
1.Naruto is WAY longer than the Avatar series
2.Naruto have Hands signs uncontrollable modes (Just like avatar) But naruto's kyuubi has more than 1 state
3.Avatar's plot is TOO easy ...Naruto's plot isnt easy since we dont know who Tobi is or if Madara is still alive or if naruto fully achieves the nine tais power (Rikudou sennin mode isnt the full mode)

As a series, though, I'd have to say that Avatar wins. I feel that the characters go through more development, and the plot has a better... dynamics, so to speak. There were twists and plot-holes and stuffs that we weren't expecting. All of the characters had an important role to play, instead of just being there as a supporting character to the main one. I know I'm not explaining my thoughts very well, but I hope that I at least made my point clear.

-bites lip- Ooh... it's a close call... In an actual fight, between Naruto and Aang, I would say that Naruto would win. They both have a near limitless amount of energy, Naruto from Kyuubi and Aang from the past avatars and the spirit world. Aang has all four bending powers at his disposal, but Naruto has jutsus that would leave Aang speechless... -snickers- Just imagine Aang's reaction if Naruto used his Sexy Jutsu on him! XD
