  • Assuming you installed the system yourself, how hard was it? How much time did it take? Thanks in advance for following up.

  • I didn't do it myself I'm ashamed to say. The dealership charged for 2 1/2 hrs I think. I added a Cobra FI2000 Fuel enhancement system prior to installing the system.

  • I leaning toward buying these but would like to know if you had to do anything, to the bike, after you installed the new pipes? Did you notice any other benifits such as gas mileage did it go up or down. Thanks

  • I also installed a Cobra Fi2000 (fuel enhancer) around the same time. I think my gas mileage may have went down. I'm only getting about 35-36 miles city. Not sure if that is what it's supposed to be or not but I never really checked prior to installing the exhaust. I think it's the fuel processor that's making the gas mileage a little worse though.

  • hey does it give the same heat shielding like the stock pipes from burning your legs if ever you do ride it with shorts on?

  • Actually the heat shield is pretty good but not as good as the stock one. I wear shorts all the time and don't have problems. It will burn if you put your leg directly on it but you can get pretty close without feeling it. Again it's not as good as stock.

  • @mpanaro It all depends on how you are riding. I usually get around 40mpg if I behave. It drops drastically when I unleash the beast. lol I also have the Cobra FI2000. I went with the Hard Krome Sideburners exhaust. Sounds wicked!! :)

  • Yea you do lose about 4-5 miles per gallon when you modify any bike. I have a vstar 1100 and I installed a hypercharger cobra 2 into 1 exhaust and the jets are stage 2 wich is more than the usual recommended for exhaust upgrade, but now that thing is a hog and you can't give wide open throttle cause it'll choke, I regret it, it idles a bit muscular and that's the only thing I like but performance hasn't change. They don't take in consideration that forsing air to a carb will just splash fuel

  • I always wanted one of those bikes, I fell for the way it looked and the fact that it was 109 cubic inches was a plus, but now I like harleys. I still think your bike is bitching, they do look sexy

  • Baffles In or Out?

  • Did you have to do anything to your fuel system?
