Learn Drunken Boxing with Shifu Neil Ripski.

In Lesson 12 of his Drunken Kung Fu instructionals Sifu teaches methods of training extremes of movement and balance for the drunken stylist. Practicing these drills will create core power and connection for more "drunken" type movement

This Drunken Kung Fu series starts from the very basics and works up to intermediate and advanced Drunken Fist theory, techniques and appications.

This is from the Northern traditional Drunken Fist descended through the Ma family of Honan. I hope all can enjoy objectively.

  • i like doing mma, an what parts of drunken fist would work especially in mma(no im not an mma troll i do wing chun myself)

  • @l2q I would say the flexible approach is of great use in the ring as well as the use of the unusual. Everybody has seen the orthodox and as such it can be seen and defended easily. The weird and strange take longer to train but surprise the opponent

  • hey man your videos have helped me loads i love kung fu and want to learn drunken style so this have given me a strong ground which i can try perfect before spending money on a teacher! thanks if you could maybe do another series on another form when you have the time that would be amazing!!

  • @simmsyoufc Distance course is filming now and will be up in the new year. It will include the entire system forms, weapons, applications etc. I will announce it on all my videos and youtube channel.

  • how would i be able to integrate thus balance drill, in my martial arts style which is hapkido.

  • @superninja2811 just work the drill and see how much it improves your balance in your own hapkido techniques. You might be happy to see how much your power increases in awkward positions

  • how long or how many times should I do these drills?

  • drink a little and you can actually find yourself able to do it better, but dont drink too much that you go overboard

  • Very informative set of videos. You explain things in such a clear easy to understand way and it's not easy to teach this stuff through youtube videos and not face to face. I've seen other instructors struggle with the format. Thanks for posting these videos and making everything really easy to follow with such good explainations of why we need to learn these things. I really feel like i learned something from them and understand more about the style and how the drills benefit the techniques.

  • Drunken Boxing is definitely my favorite style <3 it's versatile in the sense that you can integrate it with other styles, sych as (in my case) Muy Thai. It really throws off the opponent, allowing me to deliver the final blow.

  • @redjademartialarts that sounds awesome soo looking forward to it! keep up the great work!
