@mariusdire Due to it having a direct link with the heavens as the sky was then thought of it was considered to have a direct link to God. Hence why geometry and those who used it (architects and masons) were considered to have a touch of the divine. Lucifer isn't even a biblical name it's Latin and as the Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek it isn't in either Testament. It's the name of the morning star, which interestingly enough Jesus gets referred to as that in Revelations.

The G present in a lodge can refer to several things God, the Grand architect of the universe, the Grand Geometrician of the universe or Geometry. The latter due to the fact that in medieval times geometry for buildings was often based on the positions of stars (North-South alignment of buildings like Churches, from which they could then use geometry to form the East-West axis).
