Is there anything that WD-40 and a lighter can't fix? If there exists such a thing, just torch it all with your mini flamethrower. Problem solved.

  • We do this up in the north when we get blow outs, or when the tires are deflated to the point of being off the rim. We've done this for quite some time, I'm surprised this seems new to many people.

  • it still amazes me that people don't get this... my fucking god, this is just a technique for seating a bead on a rim,,,, i wish this guy would disable comments, the idiots are actually killing me

  • pretty simple... just ether/starting fluid. Ether works best because it's more flammable.

  • seen it before

  • Are you guys serious? The heat makes the air expand filling the tire!? The either gets into the tire and mixes with the air, when lit it BURNS the air and either creating exhaust which it roughly 5 times the volume of the original air/either mix. This very sudden increase of volume creates pressure in the tire which pushes the bead up to the rim thus seating the bead and if done right inflating the tire.

  • Works like a charm when you can't get the tire seal on the bead, when you don't have enough air pressure to inflate it, ETHER, or starting fluid works best, but be careful

  • @seizetheweakened you has to hit it with air as soon as you can or it does pop back off.

  • I guess you can't push in on the valve stem and have it suck in atmospheric air fast enough to offset the contraction when the tire cools?

  • thats awsome

  • @brodie1709 Look at all the other videos of mounting a tire like that, I think it has been proven
