From what I remember, it seems that Keynes was more 'DOOMING the economy' (observing how unavoidable its destruction is) and reminding us that--though the economy DOES pass away--'Labor Omnia Vincit' ('working people' (i.e. Labor) conquers all things). A 'proper application' (to Man's creations, not to God's) of the idea of "reincarnation"---this economy is a reincarnation of the first economy

Keynes didn't save the world from anything. If you believe that, then you believe that George Bush and Barack Obama have been good for the economy.
