@mikee047x1 I like that Mikee never mentions any names of the places he's been a part of. His only professional experience seems to be making all region twice and getting one or two medals at state. Not a big deal if you ask me. Had you said a four year 5A all-stater, I might have raised an eyebrow because I've known many of those. Just another pathetic and insecure waste that has nothing better to do than to trash his own Alma mater and troll YouTube videos. Nothing but immaturity if you ask me

When was the last time a trumpet or percussion player at Ennis made 5A state? even state solo and ensemble? doesn't happen does it? I have experience at the 1-A college level, DCI as well, so my experience far exceeds any you have.

The fact is you cannot even hear the band at halftime because the brass is so weak and the horns are pointed the wrong way. There's a reason only a handful of schools still march military, they lack the skills to compete with the big boys

@Tromboner95 How did I trash it? I merely speak the truth. People simply don't care to hear military marches outside of a July 4th parade. And no, there have been no military bands in the upper classifications of 4A and 5A state since the competition has been going on, which is fairly recent. I'm sorry you're experience is so extremely limited that you can't see the truth, only woodwind players stand out at EHS, the percussion and brass sections have for the most part sucked.....TBC.......

@mikee047x1 I do not appreciate how you trash this style. Along with other EHS band members. There has been military bands in the state marching contest for your information. I am sorry that you went through 4 years of military style torture. I'm also sorry you don't like the style, and that you trash it like a junior high kid.. But Ennis, along with the 70+ other high schools that still march the proud military style won't switch cause YOU don't like it. Sorry we don't meet up to your needs....

@Tromboner95 and I have some more bad news for you, the vast majority of the Ennis crowd goes out for concessions during football games during halftime....the reason? the show and the music is of poor quality and it is BORING.....when I was a kid, we smoked the Waxahachie band every year. Now the Waxahachie band competes on a state level and embarrasses and blows Ennis off the field...sad state of affairs if u ask me.
