@NilChoudhury okay so i started having doubts about what i thought was the real alternate ending after seeing so many fakes and wondered if what i saw was the real alternate ending. Well, sum1 was real good at editing and reused kirks scenes to make it seem that he lived and duped me. D'oh!

btw, the real alternate ending has kirk survive the fall and coming out of the wreckage of the bridge, just thought i mention that there's a real alternate ending with all these fake ones, unless i've been duped...
