  • Economics was not always about the family. It used to be that an entire family could be raised on a single income. Due to the erosion of middle class wages, it now takes two incomes. If the wage erosion was not taking place, a single parent could still raise children in relative comfort. The only reason why it takes a married couple to "make it" these days is because of the massive wealth/income disparity in this country.

  • Santorum is right. He made a bold statement, because no one really wants to hear about that kind of stuff. Not really sure what the government can do about that, though.

  • Did he say that we have a president that doesn't know how to create wealth? I thought that according to right wingers, the government doesn't create jobs, the private sector does. They should at least try to be self-consistent.

  • did you record this with a toaster?

  • @srkb001 we cannot blame all the problems on rich people and politicians.

We are all to blame. We all need to look at the greater picture. The greater picture is to make sure planet earth is in good shape. We need to sacrifice ourselves in the way of limiting our birth rate in order to save nature and all the other creatures that live in it.

We need to change the whole economic system. Put a stop to global migration and concentrate on being self sufficient. Stay in your own country.

  • @srkb001 think about it, we are producing billions and billions of kids every minute of the day, and each one of them will produce tons of human waist everytime they go to the toilet. And that human waist then ends up in the local rivers, oceans and in our beautiful natural landscape. Also these children will grow up and buy cars and then go onto pollute the earths atmosphere. Human beings are like a walking time bomb. We need to stop this selfish act and start sacrifising the way we breed.

  • @srkb001 yes educated wealthy people are also capable of crime. But the reality is, the majority of crime, murders etc.. take place in the overpopulated poor areas. You cannot ignore the basic facts of life.

Rich areas have lower crime rate, they also tend to have a small population size, people have fewer kids. The quality of life is much higher.

As long as we carry one as we are now with our high breeding rate, we are in danger of creating a global catostrophe.

Foreign workers r not robots, you can't use em n then forget abt eir needs, ey're human who need family to be close with too.

We do have a lot of resources today, but we are lack of compassion and we tend to give excuses.. 'Govt cannot help' or start blaming others..

  • @Nuron666

My point is dat educated people harms our society too, they cheat, lie, and rob under table. If we want a world with less crimes, we need to get rid of them too..

We don't hv to look so far and take drastic actions which will be against our nature. Soon we will face problem of decreasing in manpower.

If the educated influential people do the right thing and give good examples, we can surely see the change in our society. Just my opinion.

  • @srkb001 education is fine as long as you have a small manageable society.

But as soon as the population becomes too big and unmanageable, education becomes useless. It becomes survival of the fittest. If your strong you will survive, but if your weak then you end up in the slums facing a life of hardship.

Governments cannot help you when the population becomes too big. Look around the world, countries that have a big population are struggling to cope. Population size is a major problem
