{Verse 1}
*Erin has the best boyfriend ever, Joe. He makes her laugh, he's outgoing, and he shows Erin that it's okay to be outgoing. The one thing Erin doesn't like about Joe is that he calls Erin every minute when she's out with her friends.*

{Chorus}
*Erin was hanging out with her friends at the mall when, no surprise, Joe called her cell.*
Erin: Yes, Joe.
Joe: What are you doing?
Erin: Hanging out at the mall.
Joe: With who?
Erin: The girls.
Joe: No guys, right?
Erin: Yes Joe, no guys.
Joe: Okay, I'll see you when you get home.
Erin: Alright, bye.
Joe: Bye. (hangs up)

{Verse 2}
*Once again, Erin was hanging out with her friends. This time they were at the club. They were having fun dancing and meeting guys, when Joe called Erin's cell.*
Erin: What Joe?
Joe: I'm just calling to check up on you.
Erin: For what reason?
Joe: Just making sure you're not flirting with other guys.
Erin: I'm not Joe.
Joe: Promise?
Erin: (irritated) Yes Joe, I promise.
Joe: Alright, I love you.
Erin: Love you too, bye.
Joe: Bye (hangs up)

{Chorus}
*It was Erin's 18th birthday and she was having a sleepover with her best friends Sid, Vito, and Crystal. They were talking about boys and Sid happened to bring up Joe.*
Sid: So, Erin.
Erin: What?
Sid: I've got a question for you about Joe.
Erin: Okay.
Sid: Are you truly and honestly happy with him?
Erin: Well...
*Just then her cell rang and guess who it was.*
Erin: Speaking of the devil (answers cell) Yeah, Joe.
Joe: Hey, what are you doing?
Erin: Having a sleepover for my 18th birthday.
Joe: Who's there?
Erin: Me, Sid, Vito, and Crystal.
Joe: Any boys?
Erin: (irritated) No.
Joe: Okay, well I...
*Erin hangs up before Joe could even finish. She turns back to the girls.*
Erin: (irritated) OMG!!!
Vito: What?
Erin: That is getting on my last frickin nerve.
Crystal: What?
Erin: Joe calling me every minute, every time I go somewhere with the girls.
Crystal: What does he call about?
Erin: He wants to make sure I'm not flirting with other guys.
Sid: See Erin, this is exactly why I asked you this question.
Erin: Why?
Sid: To see if Joe calling you every minute of every day is worth staying with him.
Erin: I don't know. I mean, him calling me gets on my last damn nerve, but he is the best boyfriend I've ever had. I don't know what to do.
Vito: You could either break up with him or learn to live with it.
Crystal: Or she could talk to him about it.
Erin: I think I'm going with Crystal's plan. I'm going to talk to him about it.

{Bridge}
*Erin thought about what Crystal said and she was going to talk to Joe. She was nervous because she was afraid how he would react or he might break up with her.*

{Chorus}
*One night, Joe had just got home from work and Erin & him were eating dinner. After dinner, they were watching TV and Erin decided this was the best time to talk to Joe.*
Erin: Hey Joe.
Joe: Yes honey.
Erin: Can I ask you something?
Joe: Sure. What is it?
Erin: Do you trust me when I'm with my friends?
Joe: Yes, why do you ask?
Erin: It seems to me you don't because you call and check up on me every minute of every time I go out with my friends.
Joe: No, I don't.
Erin: You wanna bet. I can call Vito, Crystal, and Sid as a witness.
Joe: No, you don't. I'll admit it, I do call you everytime you're out with your friends.
Erin: When you call, I feel like you don't trust me.
Joe: I do trust you. It's those perverts out there I don't trust. I want to protect you.
Erin: I appreciate that, but I'm a grown girl. I can protect myself from perverts. So, can we tone down the phone calls?
Joe: I guess I can do that for my favorite girl.
Erin: Awww, thanks. Love you.
Joe: Love you too. (kisses & hugs her)
