"I am bot defined by what I am not.. I am defined for what I am". Dude, that was touching. That was very well stated. It's exactly how I often feel about this whole Christian thing - that somehow we are just numbers to get pulled to the "other side" rather than being recognised as an individual with our own opinions and views. Well done man!!

Perhaps you didn't realise that the origins of Humanism were actually religious ones? Did you? Or perhaps your just too ignorant to realise such 'complexity.'

What? Yes, I do realise that humanism has religious ancestry. But I am not a religious humanist, I am a secular humanist. So your point is what exactly?
Don't insult me so randomly, either. Why do you call me ignorant? And why did you use the word "complexity" in the context that you did, and why did you put inverted commas round it? What was the point?

I'm just curious
as a humanist do you believe in the existence of a soul?

As a secular humanist, no. There are assumedly religious humanists who do.
