A piece put together for artist Jean Westbrook's The Big Cardigan exhibit hosted at St Michael's Church in Macclesfield, for the 2010 Barnaby Festival.

As part of the installation, we were to have a DVD player and TV to display the animated shorts I had produced. I figured this could also be an opportunity to include another short movie to explain some of the back story regarding the Big Cardigan's origin and development.

Most of the media relating to the Big Cardigan has been in the form of still photography, so as such this piece was always going to be a slideshow in essence, but I decided to throw in a few surprises along the way, such as the snippets of the other videos and additional time-lapse elements.

In hindsight, I should really have included a bit from the "...The BIG Cardigan..." video; right after the caption about the Guiness Book Of Records classifying Cardigans as Jumpers, cut to the moment when The Big Cardy shrugs its "shoulders"...

The narrative is comprised of quick footnotes thought up on the spot to link clips together, and a few bits from The Big Cardigan website.

Again, music by The Weavils, who just seem to be THE right band for this project... :)
