Additionally, apparently Ray Alder grew his hair long again.
Personally I would love to see some of these musicians who fly commerical airplanes for big companies, like Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickenson, to keep/grow their hair long and challenge the airline's policy.

@pahlchri Heavy metal has always been about standing up to perceptions and political correctness.
A man keeping his hair long because he wants to is not selling out and giving into perceptions that he is a drug addict and other negative comments about men with long hair.
It is also standing up to sexism that while it is ok for Women to have short hair, it was not ok for Men to have long hair.
A man doesn't need to cut his hair in HM. No one will fire him for long hair
