  • @acenace24 Well he didnt knew how serious it was, and the crash looked very cool.

  • @paulboggan The danger in Indycar racing is due to the way they race at an average speed of 200mph wheel to wheel in tight packs. With open wheel cars which flip when wheels climb over each other that is massively dangerous and you can't call the accident in Vegas a freak accident as they went into the race with concerns over this very issue. They need to get their shit together and get some fenders around those wheels. They are doing that next year I think.

  • @acenace24 @NOTCUTOUT @jakiesnumerki

this was shortly after the crash and had no idea that there were fatalities, cant really blame him

  • Two people died in that crash =/

    asshat commentator

  • Really safety standards in this sport is awful, no where near the safety standards in Formula 1 even today!

  • I was 12 yrs old when I saw this crash LIVE. My parents had just got a new VHS camera and we were recording this race. Sadly we were recording it so we could catch a crash. Unfortunately, we recorded what probably could be considered the WORST crash in indy car history, Haven't recorded a race since. RIP Krosnoff.

  • @gturner38 agreed, newhampshire was a complete farce. and the 34 cars on track at vegas was in hindsight foolhardy. but ive seen so many damning reports from experts who really should know what they are talking about. i take your points on board.....cheers!

  • @erasetoimprove Button has over 70 passes so far this year, including 26 at Montreal, where he was in last place with 95 miles to go and won. Thru 9 races, F1 was averaging 69 passes per race. There is no way Indycar can match that on road and street courses, where they seem to mix follow the leader with crashing.

  • @paulboggan Higher cockpits were implemented by F1 after Senna's death and not in Indycar until 2 years later after Brayton's death. F1 developed monocoques in the 1960s while Indycars were still roadsters and carbon fibre monocoques in the early 80s. As for Indycar safety, it should be questioned when they restart oval races in the rain, have safety trucks driving against the flow as a race starts, and put too many cars on a high speed oval.
