I see where you are coming from but I think it highlights the stupidity of the two commanders. In the book the film is based on, Cecil spends alot of time explaining the journey and i guess they had to condense it into a film.

@dockavurzione Exactly, thank you.

Bit of a long shot - but does anyone know who owns the rights to this? Hoping to possibly use it in a programme thats inproduction at the moment and getting nowhere trying to track down who has the rights to this!

I just love those Bloody British, some time I feel like being one of them!!!

What a marvelous way to explain in a few minutes the whole social, political and military history of a period that few of us know anything about! A viewer could probably learn more from watching these cartoons than listening to a documentary or even reading a book. Besides, the animations are very entertaining! If this is a childish POV, I apologize in advance to my better educated critics.

why do we always fight other peoples battles,,

Actually, the animation is just brilliant!

@Talbot6832 You're right, that is the point: the movie itself is depicting jingoist propaganda and the feelings of the british masses living in 1854, by using sketches and cartoons that were very common at that time on the british press. The bear, the lion, the turkey... Browse on Google: " cartoonstock + congress + berlin "... and you'll see almost the same images. Ciao ciao from Italy.

Ciao!
The design and animation here is just beautiful!
