This is a very unique product. So unique that I actually wasn't really sure of the best way to present it. Partly because I'm not big into the audiophile scene, but also because it's so different from anything else out there. There should be no difference, ST is pci, STX is pci-e.

Just different card slots, whatever works out better for you.

So would this Sound card work with the Astro A40? I think the two would go very well together seeing as they are both considered really good audio components.

@haloharry97 STX, since PCIE will be more future proof. You already see motherboards without any PCI slots, so you want to keep this card for a long time, and get the PCIE (STX) version.

@MrGrandDragon Wireless headsets typically have their own audio processing chips inside, and plug in with usb to the computer.  Basically, they are junk compare to what this card outputs with wired headphones.
