If you've followed our Ultimate Track and Street Car Build Blog on our 2011 Mustang 5.0L RTR race car, you've seen our build and all the products used along the way. One of our favorite parts about this Mustang is the exhaust. We never really covered the installation of the exhaust or even got sound clips of it, mostly due to the fact that we just wanted it done so we could all get our turn behind the wheel!

  • @latemodelrestoration On your website blog, it says that you stayed with the Bassani X pipes. However on a comment posted here it was said that you went with the Stainless Works X pipe. I was just wondering which one it was. Also, did you use the cats that came with the Stainless Works headers. Are these cats hi-flow? Thanks

  • @MrRarraf We used the Bassani X and the cats from the Stainlessworks kit. The cats that comes with the Stainlessworks headers are much smaller than stock and have a very high flow rate. We had another car here that we used the full Stainlessworks kit on and that is probably were the confusion came that you read. Sorry.

  • Do you think this is too loud for street use? Hard to tell from the video. It sounds unreal. I have the Bassani axle back, and I'm adding an off road x to hopefully get closer to this tone.

  • @clm5150 It's really not to bad when just cruising around. Everyone here really loves the sound cursing and in the gas. This car does have cats on it so yours will be quite a bit louder than ours.

  • did you use the stainless works x pipe or the bassani?

  • @91landman, we ended up sticking with Stainless Works.
