As history shows, leftist beliefs have spawned mass carnage and misery. Put into practice, they have caused the deaths of millions. Until now, it has been extremely difficult for rational people who value personal freedom to understand the motivations of those who live in comfort and yet embrace monstrous dictators, ideologies, and policies that leave only death and destruction in their wake.
In United in Hate, Dr. Jamie Glazov presents startling new insights into the toxic beliefs and torturously contorted thought processes of the leftists who lust to destroy the very freedoms that allow them to exist. Glazov explains the Left's love for and deification of totalitarian ideologies, from Marxism to radical Islam, with clarity and candor.
Why does the leftist believer reach out in solidarity to the most gay-hating, womanhating and minority-hating force on earth?
Why does the "progressive" heap adulation upon regimes under which he himself would be annihilated?
Why do radical feminists, who supposedly value women's rights, ignore the suffering of millions of women living under Islamic gender apartheid?
In this groundbreaking examination, Dr. Glazov at last reveals the vile and morbid forces that impel so-called "progressives" to embrace not just murderous ideologies such as Marxism and radical Islam, but the systematic elimination of all those standing in the way of their new utopia.

@rheniumlake Technology is very collectivist 1000 different inventions go into an Iphone, if all of those inventions were private intellectual property, we'd have no Iphone, hell we'd probably still be in the early industrial age. NASA is a space exploratory program...lol Like any business would be exploring space for the hell of it, the comparison is ridiculous. A better comparison would be USPS vs Fedex or something and that's not correct either. Private school vs public....

@rheniumlake American conservatives don't favor objectivism, you're out of your mind. Conservatives are the ones fighting for harsher sentences for what would be perfectly legal in a totally free market. 71% of the Tea party want Medicare which isn't even socialism because the government pays private industry to take care of it. Conservative/liberal are mostly social measures right/left are economic.

@rheniumlake I didn't blabber on about anything that the government has done well, so I don't know what you're talking about. Government hires out 99% of the time. There's barely any socialism in America, What people call socialism really isn't. We pay taxes the government hires PRIVATE contractors. It's not about "patents" objectivism delves way deeper than that.

@THEINVENTABLETHREAT You cant blabber on about the great deeds of government without giving any specific examples. What have they done that is not failing or has not been surpassed by private enterprise? And yes, everyone should decide what to do with their own ideas/inventions...thats why we have patents...because it denotes your ownership-not society's. Also "economically conservative" was referring to the American conservative party that favored her economic policies.

@rheniumlake "Economically conservative" what does that mean? doesn't mean anything. Rand was economically liberal and is stated as being so in her time. Trying to group everything in one pretty package while demonizing the rest is the game that pundits play with idiots. You can't let the Dog define the Cat. Right/Left becomes everything good, Left/Right becomes everything bad depending which right/left uneducated blabber mouth is talking trying to keep their audience entertained.

@rheniumlake Much of the technology in the modern era came from government grants to industry. Intellectual property rights of objectivism are in direct conflict with the modern world. Rand believed each person should be in control of their own intellectual contribution.

@THEINVENTABLETHREAT No one said that there shouldnt be no military, police, fire dept...etc. The is considerable debate about the efficiency of those public services if they were administered by private factions and not the government. For instance the voucher program for schools wants the government to pay tuition directly, letting parents decide where their children go to school and the school receiving money based on merit and demand from students and parents.

@THEINVENTABLETHREAT Technology is not collectivist. So what if information is built on each other, the advancement of technology came from individuals who developed because of their own interests, businesspeople invested in their inventions out of their own interests too. Government projects like NASA dont stay strong as long as privately owned businesses.

@rheniumlake SHe was criticized by most on the left and the right. In this age we are collectivist, not because we choose to because one man doesn't do anything by themselves. Technology is collectivist, that's one of the biggest holes in Objectist theory. Rand's knowledge of the way things actually work was skewed

@rheniumlake With no government programs we wouldn't have a government, military, police, fire department, paved roads, etc. Reagan was one of the biggest corporate, anti-freedom, big brother, big government, taxing presidents ever. It doesn't cut her views in half to call her a true meaning of a word.
