Thanks for sharing dcnetworks! I am planning on a trip here or to Bora Bora. One thing I didn't see was a kayak. I thought each overwater bungalow was equipped with a kayak.

do you recommend a bungalo with a pool, or is the ocean pleasant enough to swim in?

@staple55 - Get the over the water bungaloo for sure. Water is only 5 feet deep at best versus the other hotels. You can walk it. So much more fun for sure. Do try to visit the beach at Sofitel but their bungaloos are not as nice and they are in deeper water. Overall...the Hilton has the BEST rooms on Moorea for sure.

@fonzeyfu (Advice) Book your transfer (airport to hotel) ahead of time. Your hotel should be able to assist you with that. Tahiti is not a good island to visit, you need to go to Bora Bora or Moorea. From Tahiti, you can take the ferry instead of a plane. If you are taking the ferry from Tahiti to Moorea...there are LARGE METAL CRATES by the dock for people to put their large luggages for pick up later (so you do not need to carry them on to the ferry). Hilton Moorea ROCKS. Enjoy!
