Story: The idea I had for this was that the Doctor has a lot of regrets (obviously), but I think a big one is that he never got to tell Rose how he felt. Even though they were both well aware of it, he always backed away from coming right out and saying it. It's implied that he pops in on her timeline before she met him, to check in on her and all, so I was thinking maybe he would stop by and wrestle with himself about just telling her, whether she knows him or not. But in the end, he never gets his chance.
