  • Thanks so much for posting. I was at the show that night and will never forget it.

  • I remember watching the show on TV with my mom - I was only nine at the time, but i had always loved watching Katia and Sergei skate. My mom and I both cried watching this - it was very moving.

  • i read My sergei and i was immediately captivated. unfortunately i was too young when they were still competing and such,,but now i watched their performances on youtube. so amazing couple, sometimes i miss sergei and both of them togrhter like i actually knew them personally

  • I know exactly what you mean

  • I was there in the audience, I was 14 when Sergei died, and still 14 when this took place. I can tell you being there, people around me all had tears in their eyes after her first solo skate, I was in INSTANT tears before she was even on the ice. By the end of it, I think I was crying because it was over. But you felt Sergei's presence there and still to this day you can see the pair tendencies she has and I still picture Sergei skating with her at points.

  • My tear ducts are working well.

  • @Ggirl91 thats kind of funny thats how i found out about her too

  • @skylershaye i came across her randomly when i was watching videos...saw comments about her husband and looked her up online...so sad...i've spent the days since just watching videos of them online...i'm just a year or so older than Daria and figure skating isn't shown on tv where i'm from.

  • It's been so many years and watching this doesn't make me cry any less than I did when I was 12.

  • their love and talent was so wonderful, it touched all of our hearts in ways that cannot truly be understood. Their live and love was always told through their skating. And in doing so, brought us all closer to them than we truly realized.

  • Does anyone know the piece of music at the beginning? Before she begins skating?

  • so inspirational
