If the mule didn't want to jump, it wouldn't have. Let me tell you, it's very hard to get an equine to jump or do something that it doesn't want to do. It certainly could have refused.

try reading your comment before posting. also, nowhere did I say a mule is a horse. my comment is 100% correct, if you can use your native language correctly (doubtful). if mules were truly smart, they wouldn't let people ride them about and make them jump over things...

Unlike horses (who with serious wiping could jump too high and hurt its self) mules and donkeys are "stuborn" because they asses the danger of situations. Horses do what insinct tells them, they react.

A wip hits them they will leave the area, even if it means jumping and getting hurt. However a donkey or mule you could hit all you want but they would say no the fence is to high, I will get injured, I am better of her getting wipped.
