An After-Workout Amino Acid
Body Builder Protein Drink ❤
* I n g r e d i e n t s *
— 1 head Celery
— 1 bunch Kale
— 1 small bunch Green Grapes (if organic, include the stems!)
— 1 Cucumber (unpeeled if organic, peeled if inorganic)
— 1 bunch Cilantro
* P r e p a r a t i o n *

— For those who are athletes, you are probably wondering how to keep the muscle on...well, this juice is it!
— Leafy green vegetables like kale, spinach, cilantro, parsley, as well as celery have superior amino acids in them. The reason why I didn't say protein, is because protein is the *finished product* of how you want your body to structurally be...but in order for your body to create the exact proteins it needs in the exact places and in the exact proportions, it prefers to utilize the building blocks of protein, which are all the various amino acids.
— When you eat something like steak, you are actually consuming proteins that were made for the cow they were once part of...a far cry from what you as a human would need. So your body actually has to do to double-duty...it has to *first* break down the cow proteins into amino acids, reshuffle them, and then use them to create new proteins for you.
— However, if you just directly consume amino acids that are on their own and not part of any protein, such as the amino acids found in fruits and vegetables, then your body can straight away use them to create the proteins that it needs.
— As a quick review of the basics, what your body primarily needs to have healthy functioning cells is 1) sugars, 2) fatty acids and 3) amino acids.
— I have been having too many fatty acids lately (avocados) and I am paying the price, with feeling too acidic and having cold sores in my mouth. So you see, even I am not perfect! And yes, I mentally know that I shouldn't eat too many fat, but it still happens to me on occasion. The best that one can do in this situation is at least observe and be aware of what is happening. So I have yet again observed the negative consequences that arise when I consume too much fat, and I yet again get to experience them too. :(
— Even though my problems were related to too much fat consumption, I also want to touch on the potential issues of fruit consumption. It is more challenging in this day and age to be a true fruitarian or a low-fat raw food eater, because the fruits that we buy in the stores have not always been fully ripened before they were picked...meaning, the full alkalinity of them may not yet have been achieved.
— It is not until the last 3-7 days of a fruit's time on a tree or a bush that it achieves its full ripeness, and they are often picked before this so that the grower can be assured that the fruits do not spoil before they finally reach the end consumer and/or so that the fruits don't bruise too much during transportation. This is all the more reason to not only try and buy organic produce, but buy LOCAL produce...for if it is local produce, the grower will be WAY more likely to let the fruits ripen a lot more before harvesting, and if you are really lucky they may let them ripen completely. Also, if you can't afford organic at all for something, the next best choice is LOCAL.
— Another issue with today's fruits is the quality of the soil...many farmers are not too keen on creating the best soil for their crops, especially when costs for them are an issue, and especially when they do not have to meet any organic standards.
— So what am I going to do to get over me having consumed too much fat? That's right, I'm going to alkalize, alkalize, alkalize and drink more green juice!

i do not have an organic food store in my area, are non organic fruits and vegetables really that much worse? and is there anything i can do to get the pesticides off better?
