Hey guys? Want to know how to play this?
First, get this: http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_1_wi... which is the rom hack you need -- and has some instructions for getting it working in Kega Fusion
Second, get this: https://app.box.com/s/z4qfol6kl62smtt... (part one) and https://app.box.com/s/m7j8lzks8uez9zb... (part two) -- This compressed file is a wav/cue set you can mount in a program like Daemon Tools or just open through Fusion directly as a CD.
You may also need the US Sega CD bios for this to work.
To run, open the binary rom (Sonic1Mode1.bin) in Kega Fusion, then select "Load SegaCD image" and open the .iso file (make sure it and the wav files are all in the same folder together, though they don't have to be in the same folder as the binary). Make sure that "CartBootEnabled=1" is set in the fusion.ini file. I don't know which if any other Genesis emulators support Sega CD bootable carts outside of Fusion.
Or you can burn the audio to a CD and the rom to a flash cart and play it that way, which should work just fine if you have the hardware for it.
Dammit, I like this better than the original. With help from a hack that supports the use of CD audio (via Sega CD cart-boot).
