@rotorhd2 No probably not cool all the time eh? I know what you mean. Bordom of watching miles, & miles of iron for hours on end gets old pretty quick. The short-line I ran on was only about 60 miles, & that seemed to take forever sometimes. Crossings, & occasional waves to people/kids were the only real excitement, but that makes it worth it when you see the smiles, & look of amazement on their faces. I've got some videos on here of that. 1950's era FL9's rolling through get lots of attention

FUCK CANADIAN PACIFIC. SOLD OUT THE FUCKING UNIONS. CREATED A 2 TIER PAY SYSTEM. THERE IS NO UNION IN A 2 TIER PAY SCALE. I WONDER WHAT THEIR PROFITS ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION ARE OVER THE PAST 40 YEARS. AN EMPLOYEE MUST WORK 18 YEARS TO GET 5 WEEKS VACATION. THATS ILLEGAL IN MANY COUNTRIES IN EUROPE. GERMAN WALMART EMPLOYEES GET MORE VACATION TIME (6 WEEKS) IMMEDIATELY AFTER GETTING HIRED, WHICH IS MORE THAN ANY CANADIAN CPR EMPLOYEE WILL GET IN THE SAME TIME PERIOD.

@GP9railfan yep it's a good job...I noticed the video from the conductor seat was the Rocky Mountaineer, I drive that a couple times a year......once, a passenger asked me for autograph! Can you believe that? We still have some jeeps here, in yard service....well built!
