african presence in mexico part 1

part .1 this is a video about an exhibit at the oakland museum about the little known histrory of african slaves in mexico and it's influence on the culture and history. today the fact that there are mexican of african decent is usually ignored or completly denied so i give a little history lesson on this subject hopefully you will learn something new about mexican history ...

@oaklandlatinosunited maybe no sense for you since you are not mexican. the point is There are not only blacks there are asians and a lot of reces but we do not talk about it because we do not mine like in USA likes to say african american, italian american etc. We are mexicans no matter the race or where they come from. Mexican are mexicans.I am from veracruz and I have a cousin that color and we dont even care. So., Mexican comes in so many diferent colors

@eltekilas2009 actually I'm Mexican and Salvadoran but raised in the Bay Area . and i have been to Veracruz and have seen many people that are of Afro Origins . i see your point now . many consider there self Mexican because of the Nationalist stance that Mexico has had for many years. at the same time there is Deiscrimination in Mexico if you are Black or especially Indiginous you are looked down on like an Indio or Negro. and on Tv in Mexico all you see is White Mexicans. Racism is in MEXICO.

@eltekilas2009 i am not trying to discriminate you. i am just telling you. You will never think as us since you were born in USA and socialize with la raza who does not represent Real mexicans unless you are reguster in the mexican embassy as mexican being born in other contry.

@eltekilas2009 But i guees they call you Mexican but the truth is you may be from mexican descendenty but unless there is a lagal paper saying you are mexican. Dis you parent take you to the mexican embassy and did legal paper work for you to be a mexican being born in USA. If not Ypou are jus US citizen.

It teach you not to discriminate. Every single Mexican knos and have seen that movie. look at it on youtube. See you my friend and remember. You are not Mexican. you are US citizen.

Otherewise the tv productors won't know their own bussines. like going to a topless in mexico and seeing the Europ girls. it is something we do not see in dayli life. Most of the people who hates people of diferent color is because they learn since they are little.

But We Mexicans do not see it like that. Right now We are helping our indians brothers in the state of Chihuahua. we do not care if they are indiginous. We alkl are mexicans and we help.
