Chapter 13 - Grandparents House - Week of June 20th This week we were up north at our Grandparents house because our parents and my aunt and uncle were going to Minnesota for a concert. On Monday my grandma took us out for lunch at McDonalds® and then we went to her work for a few hours. It's not really that boring because we get to help her do all this receptionist kind of work like fileing folders, and taking outgoing mail to the office, and sorting stuff. It doesn't sound like fun but she works in a technical college and its really fun just to like walk around and look into rooms. There's like fake hospital rooms with a bunch of manikins that are used for teaching students. It was fun. The rest of the time I was making oragami cranes out of non-sticky post it notes. It works pretty nicely. On Tuesday my grandma was at work and my grandpa was home with us. My cousins and their other grandma came over and we were messing around there for awhile and we went to the waterpark about 10 minutes away. It was really cool. Me and my sister had been there before but my cousins hadn't. There was a pool that started out like the shore on a beach then turned left and went deeper. It ended at a 12ft deep end where there was a diving board and a blue slide that shot you out about foot above the actual water and you like flop in the water. Its weird but really fun. Then there are two other slides to the left of the deep end. They aren't attatched to the regular pool, FYI. There are stairs that lead up to these two green and purple slides. The purple one is bigger and open on the top and the greeen one is enclosed and smaller. The green one goes way faster though. When you slide down at the end there is like this long tray-like thing that stops you, you don't go into the pool. To the right of the green and purple slides is a sandbox. Theres a bunch of water spouts that allow you to pour water into these big trays that have aplug at the bottom when you wanna get rid of the water. We spent our time making rivers and pools below the trays that lead to this big huge pool that some kid was making. He was using another spout over to the corner of the sandbox. So we did that for like a long time then we were just like "skip it" and left. We hung out in the pool for awhile, went on more slides until it was like 3:30 when my cousins had to leave and get ready for a baseball game. We went home and had supper and went up to see his game afterwards. On Wednesday our grandma was gone on some retreat with her friends up north and our grandpa took us out to lunch with our great grandma. We like to call her Nani Nani. We went to Perkins for lunch and I had five big pancakes with strawberrys, strawberry syrup, and whipped cream on the top. They were really yummy. The rest of us had bet earlier that Nani Nani would get potato pancakes with extra butter. But she didn't. She got a ham and cheese omelet with a side of potato pancakes, and extra butter. Lol moment at the Perkins! That sound funny.... Anyways after lunch we dropped Nani Nani back off at her apartment and went to drop off her hearing aid back at the store. Then we went to the pet store!!!
Its always fun to go to the pet store cuz there's fish and reptiles and all these kinds of small furry smelly animals that scare my grandpa. We got Josie (our dog) some rawhide bones and treats and went home. Around 4:00 my mom and dad and aunt and uncle got back from Minnesota. We were expecting them later so I wasn't packed. I rushed and surprisingly didn't leave anything behind. Last time I left my tamagotchi's (I know they're for littler kids!) and the time before that I forgot my phone and the charger. I'm so stupid. Thursday mom went and picked up Josie from the pet hotel really early. Then she went shopping for snacks and soda for tailgating at the baseball game. Then we packed the cooler, picked up Lizzie and went to Subway® to get subs. I got what I usually get, 6 inch italian bread with ham turkey salami provolone cheese and A LOT of mayonaise. And I mean it when I say A LOT. The words A LOT should be douple capitalized, italisized, underlined, and in bold letters. Try it on your word processor. Its the (B)(I)(U) buttons along the top. Anyways I love Subways® mayo. I say it like the best EVER! You should see my subs when I'm eating. The mayo oozes out the end. But yeah me and my friend lizzie went to the baseball game. We had really high seats. Up in like the 400's. It was fun though you could see the whole field. The Blue team* (us) played the Red Team* and we won 5-0. There were two 2 point home runs scored and our pitcher scored a run after a ground ball to some place in the field. Our Pitcher was doing really good that day. You wouldn't expect that from a pitcher.
