This maybe seem like a joke but think about it!? What did our ancestors do? They didint lift weights but what they did on the fields like cutting tatch etc kept their body in motion. Kettlebells is the way to go.

looks the same as my 50lb (22kg) kettlebell

whats great about them is that its not focused on muscle isolation. in other words you dont use it to get bulky, you use it to gain strength and stamina. I started off lifting weights in a gym for 5 months. and saw some improvements. but once i started using a kettle bell, my all around fitness was improved. i was in better shape, i had better core, my stamina was great, and i was cut.

@dynamosambo at around 3:00 what was the weight of those bells?

to all you people criticizing the guy in the video, why don't you give do it then? You're not proving a point by talking shit from behind a computer screen. Kettlebells are much harder to handle than barbells or dumbbells because the weight is in the center rather than on opposite ends, making them good for explosive movements like cleans, jerks etc.

how are they masters of sport? their form is horrible. they couldn't last 10 minutes
-
these are great x-outs combined with weights or cardio..

It's not necessary to criticize this for not emphasizing strength development since it's aims are much broader and are as concerned with stamina as strength. These are good for fighters as they develop the ability to last during a match and develop useful strength not useless bulk. And about being overpriced - don't buy them. Go to a metal worker with 1" + steel bar and have them bend an end to form a handle. Get some bull-dog collars and you have 2 "kettle-bells" for less then $100. Cheers.
