  • in Barbados they call it plait and twist.

  • @95KyBoo That's cool... when I was growing up my mom always called them plaits.

  • how do you maintain the style-do you re-twist nightly?

  • @aperrish202703 I can usually get an extra day or two out of this style by sleeping with a satin bonnet on my head. i could probably stretch this style out for a week by wearing it in a puff if it gets to frizzy.

  • Beautiful!!! I am trying to build up my patience to do braids. I always start out doing braid then I get tired and say whatever I am going to do twists.

  • I'm the same way with flat twists. I'll do one and then decide that it's gonna take too long and switch to braids or twists.

  • My mother had my hair straightwhen I was little and now it is completely broken down,

I got my hair cut now six months ago, and it is now the length of my middle finger I wash my hair with conditioner, I dont use shampoo because it gets my hair very dry and it takes many days before my hair is oily

    what should I do??

  • Where do you purchase your Oyin Handmade products?

  • what would u say is ur best conditioner? ,i seen that u use the Giovanni stuff where would u be able to buy that ...

  • @br0nzeqt Hey!! Just thougyht I'd let you know I just joined about 3 days ago, I've been natural now for almost a year but this is my first time taking that "leap" away from the salon for a while and letting me do my own styles. I am thinking about doing this and I was wondering about the lock and twist gel you used in the video. Is it an okay to replace that with Nairobi wrapp-it shine foaming lotion? Does it have the same effect as the gel or should I just use the gel?

  • I'm doing this today =]

I've had this video in my natural hair playlist for almost all of my 1 year transition, I can finally do it (WOOT WOOT!!)

  • I love your videos. I've finally found someone with my hair type. Can you provide a list of the products you used? Or the type of products? I've tried twists and braid out and the next morning my hair is dry, tangled and frizzy looking. Thanks!

  • Thanks!

  • Thank you so much for this video. I followed your steps and my hair turned great!
