United States, Upper Peninsula Michigan at 5700 feet in a Cessna 172s. Cruising SW at 110 kts about 20 miles South of Lake Superior.

  • Nice Video! What part of the U.P. was this? My first plane ride was at the Gogebic/Iron County airport in a Cesna similar to this one.

  • This was heading South from flying over the Southern lake Superior beach. That is lake Gogebic in the first 10 seconds and we were about half way between Iron Wood and lake Gogebic, and we could see KIWD from the air.

    Here are a few more pics of the plane. It is based out of Madison, but I flew my wife and I up to Manitowish Waters for a few days and then did some sight seeing from the air in the U.P.

  • Problem is, at 5700, you can STILL see the ground-level mosquitos.

  • Does Cessna use the same instrument panel for all of their planes? Because that looks just like a 182s panel.
