Personally, I wouldn't touch the paintstiks with bare hands. They are actual oil paints. Gloves are really handy for this technique.

Umm, depends on what your gonna be using em for. i love stencil art, and not just on the streets, like on canvas or cardboard, or even posters. or like in this vid, on clothes.lol. if it's something you'll be doing at home you can take your time, using markers..you can draw directly in and fill but i prefer paint, so id iether use a brush with whatever paint but it does take time so id go with spray paint if possible.

I have never seen Shiva paint sticks before--very cool! The cotton of the jeans seemed to absorb the color like crazy-- I bet if you did 2 or 3 applications if it'd show up nicely. The stencils you used didn't look like you'd have a ton of trouble lining them back up after a coat had a chance to dry. (I LOVE celestial stuff! great choice w/ the moon & stars!!)
