Putting the astounding medical achievement aside, this brings back major memories for me.
As a Canadian kid who watched this commercial over and over again during my afternoon cartoons, I can personally attest to the fact that every kid from my generation grew up annoying their parents by saying constantly screaming "burnt toast...I smell burnt toast!"

I'll admit, I did find this commercial slightly amusing when I was a kid. So did my family. But at that time, I didn't know anyone who had epilepsy or even what it was. Until I met my husband, who DOES have epilepsy. It burns my ass when people laugh, mock him while he's having a seizure, and say, "Can you smell 'burnt toast?'" Nothing funny about this commercial now.
