  • Great to hear and see Kim again. He was my cousin and great friend who never got the reconition he should have. Admittedly some of his own doing with the drug thing but bad management did`nt help. I had some other stuff on tape but I gave it to his mum when he died. She has since passed away so not sure of there whereabouts now.

I still have a "white" copy of Ravenna on vinyl which he gave to me, I miss him.

  • I've put a couple of things up on my site ...thanx for reminding me of this talented artist

  • Lovely more please!

  • @ptf1950 Any links for OOH Child?

I did speak to Brian Young and he said he'd been meaning to master off some unreleased material by Kim.

that would be a few years back now.

  • @osummuso

I'm trying to get the Ravenna album (Rialto) onto disc and stick so that I can log it on.

The whole album is brilliant. Kim co produced with Brian Young.

Kim could be a pain in the rear, but there was no doubting his commitment to his music.

Most tracks were written by Kim.

Will Smith has a particular like of 'OOH Child' (written by Stan Vincent), it features in a couple of his films.

Kim's delivery is 'understated class'. Will Smith would be impressed.

    I'll add more soon.P

  • @ptf1950 He is indeed. I've been trying to dig up his material for a while now!

Anybody got anything else to share?

I'm dying to hear 'Prospect Road' again.

I did sound for Kim a couple of times in the late 80's.

    His performances still haunt me!

  • @Jimkellyfro

I spent many months seeing Kim playing live in pubs and clubs.

    An amazeing talent.

Years later while running my own pub in the UK, Kim turned up for a 'jam nite'

As soon as I heard the voice!!!!!!!!!!

This skinny bald guy couldn't be Kim?

    But sure enough.

I have some great stuff to relate.

    He is very much missed.

    Paul

  • Saw this LP listed on Gemm, might buy it. Great vocal

  • his voice for Curious Feeling is part of my college years back in early 80's...even now the album is one of my favourite...great singer!

  • thankyou for posting this!, brings back wonderful memories.

i used to listen to kims voice in awe, such beautiful tones.

    he inspired me to write.

, and i am so sorry to hear that he passed away.

why do all the greats go first?
