I adore this song and have seen Mariza live, being the son of a Portuguese born mother who also speaks Portuguese . This song fills me with hope, sadness and thoughts of life's journey. People we've encountered that remain with us. The Portuguese word "Saudade" means the longing for something that we once remembered or experienced. This song brings me chills and stays in my heart even after I've heard it. Definitely one of the most beautiful lyrics put to an equally beautiful piece of music!
