Treasurer John Howard went to the 1983 election claiming a budget deficit of $4.3 billion, and later admitted to it being $6 billion when it was in-fact $9.6 billion.

  • costello wasn't the genius, Alan greenspan the former US reserve treasurey chairman only last month produced a biography which states, the aussie economy is the fastest growning economy in the western world due to the harsh economic reforms under the hawk/keating governments.

    The book ozonomics, gives plenty more examples of this, Howard's debt truck that mysteriously disappeared after he won the election etc, it even shows a graph of opinion polls, who do you think manages the economy better? which is interesting to look at
