Thanks panthermud. I did get my rights and lefts mixed up when I asked and I certainly did not recognize Merle as I should have. Bob Harris - the late Vassar Clement's guitarist id'd T. Michael Coleman as the bass player on Doc's right. Still trying to determine the name of the guitar player on Merle's left.

Doc was the GREATEST and certainly deserved more exposure on the national front. Sadly, many have no idea who this man was. But for my money, no guitarist has ever been able to achieve the tone and crispness of Doc Watson's picking. Rest in Peace Doc.

Merle is playing a Gallagher G40, which was made by J.W. Gallagher for him in 1968. Doc is playing a Gallagher guitar as well, and I believe it is a G50.
