Sometimes people just choose to keep it simple. Music is an art from whether you realize it or not, and everybody is just out there doing their own thing. Sure you can look at two different art pieces and say which one you like more and why, but what else is there to consider? Music exists solely for you to enjoy.

@Justnorthofjustice THANK YOU. this is what i say to people who listen to hip hop and bash rock and people who listen to rock and bash hip hop. you can't call the other better than the other. all music is different for a reason, not everyone likes the same things. and just because you like one thing better than the other doesn't mean that it IS better, that's just your own personal opinion. not everyone likes the same things you do. i don't get why that's so hard for people to understand >_<

I completely agree. You can't compare two forms of expression, because there's no basis on which to judge it. It's like comparing a realistic portrait to an abstract piece of art, you couldn't even begin to do so.

john just really works hard when it comes to his music. he's not the greatest but he makes music like "the greats." lets be fair people, in terms of todays music, he's pretty much up there with them....but without the comparing involved because times have changed.
