6:56 minute music and inspirational video. Original Hawaiian Mele / Chant followed by 4 part female choir in english. Lyrics are inspired from the writings of Mother Marianne Cope of Molokai, who is being considered for Sainthood by the Catholic Church. Pictures from reknown artist and photographer Kim Taylor Reece highlight the history of the sisters at the leper colony of Kalaupapa since the year 1883. Mother Marianne and the sisters have also been instrumental to my continuing recovery from severe heart failure.
Was taught by these wonderful women in Baldwinsville, NY. What great memories of these energetic and gentle nuns and the gifts they brought to our Parish and our school! Now, years later as a Conventual Franciscan friar myself, I certainly enjoyed watching this video celebrating their wonderful ministry in Hawaii. I recognize the names or faces of several Sisters who taught in our school. What a Blessing. A prayer of Thanksgiving for all of you!

beautiful and full of inspiration. This video was shared by a fellow alumnae; we attended Maria Regina College in Syracuse, NY which was run by the third order of Franciscan nuns. How these extrodinary women changed the lives of all of us. I remember one of my nursing professors telling me stories of her time in Kalaupapa.

Sisters of the Third Franciscan Order Minor Conventuals, I pray that Mother Marrianne can send faithful daughters to your oder once again. It is very sad to see so many of you aged and no younger sisters to carry on the work of your founders. Perhaps a deeper look at your chrism and community life is needed? We, from the outside, needs a religious life that very different from what we already live . Would you be able to change your life and rule to a more stricter observance?
