  • @smilieface652 Oh my goodness, I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your son :( I can't even imagine!! to answer your question it sense breathing and movement. It's pretty amazing, I didn't think it would but he would lay there still as can be a the monitor would never go off. we have had the monitor for 7 months now and only had 2 false alarms.

  • We lost our son to SIDS almost 2 years ago (we did not have this monitor) and found out recently were expecting again, so ive been looking into this monitor. just had a quick question does it detect breathing AND movement or just movement? i just know newborns dont move a whole lot in their sleep so im curious as to what all it monitors. Either way i would MUCH rather have 20 false alarms then no alarm at all, our family couldn't survive SIDS again. Thanks!

  • @ChattyHousewife Great idea :) Yes, it's an amazing product so glad we got it for our little man!

  • I put the base within reach of the chair I nurse my baby in, so when I hear that first beep, I can reach over and turn it off!

I have had a couple of false alarms too, but they just mean that the sensitivity of the pad needs to be adjusted. Once the pad is adjusted a few times, it has worked perfectly.

It is such an awesome product for peace of mind and the safety of the baby!!!!

  • @scottadowns Yes, we put the plywood down (forgot to mention that in the video sorry). We have had only 1 false alarm and it was because our little boy scooted up in the top of the crib in the corner.

  • Hello,

Have you had any false alarms? Also did you put down the 1/4 inch plywood underneath the mattress?
