@jericho4004 I get your point but trying to argue spirituality will prove to be a waste of time. Those that believe simply believe regardless of the science behind an argument. Good points though.

@chelmobri Understood. I was just addressing the comments where people were equating the eating of certain foods with spirituality. As for when God said not to eat pork on the Torah, the ancient Hebrews were in a situation where if they undercooked pork, it would make them very sick and probably kill them due to trichinosis. God was protecting them, that's why He told them not to eat pork. The cultures around them probably did, and many of them died.
